Growing in service: Rising Souls Service Project

In Rising Souls, we emphasize the importance of charity through service projects. Our goal is to accustom our kids to open their hands, hearts, and souls to charity. This is why our program is called Rising Souls, we train children to improve their souls through all aspects of worship.

The Quraan says:

“Worship none but Allah. Treat your parents and kindred with kindness, orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity” (2:83).

One of our key service projects is providing bagged lunches to the homeless. Parents, children, and mentors join together and make meals for a local homeless shelter. Through our combined efforts, we were able to make over 200 meals this year! Our projects show when working together, it is easy to make a difference.
